CAM PPO Background
Preventive Medicine Group and AdvoCare Inc. have been doing business with Parker
Hannifin for over 20 years collectively. When Parker Hannifin initiated a plan to
include medical coverage for complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) services
under its self-insured benefit plan, Preventive Medicine Group and AdvoCare Inc.
joined together to launch CAM PPO of America, Inc., a non-risk-assuming PPO. The
incisive leadership of Parker Hannifin executives, recognizing the value added for
employees through the increased availability CAM treatment options, fostered the
groundwork of CAM PPO of America, Inc. This organization was created to build a
credentialed provider network to accommodate the growing demand for CAM services.
Our goal is to guide and encourage the use of CAM services through the Network,
and to make it available to other employers.
